Does auto insurance cover mechanical repairs?
Wear – Tear- Maintenance items = no.
Accident Related damage – some. Many mechanical items are deprecated. So betterment will be applied.
Also– it is very easy to tell the difference between wear and tear and accident related damage. So – please disregard the suggestion to just put a dent on your car "it's a loop hole". No — it's not a loop hole and the insurance company will be able to tell the difference.
Yes; but only if they are the results of an accident. Consider this, you have a front end collision and the radiator , water pump and pulleys are damaged. Because the accident caused the damage, the insurance will cover the repair.
Extended warranty is what you would need to cover other unforeseen problems with mechanical repair.
Geico has a policy for that, I've never looked into pricing for it though. If you can afford it it's good to have cause you'd never get ripped off. The auto mechanic actually has to prove to them what is wrong with your car and tell them what they need to fix it and Geico doesn't screw around with a mechanic that makes up crap.
I am talking about general repairs, not accident related. It also covers the cost of a rental car while your car is being repaired.
Yes, they do cover mechanical repairs.
If you hit someone headon, your engine will most probably be affected, and the repair of such will be covered by insurance, assuming you have Comprehensive coverage (or whatever u call it in your country).
Yes, it did for me.. A truck hit my car while it was parked and dragged it about 20 feet up the road… I had damage to the door ( very minimal ) He sort of just hooked the door.. But by pulling the car when it was in park he ruined my rear differential gear and my transmission..
none that I am aware of. But that is what the car manufacturers warrantee is about. Unless, you are talking about an auto accident where things are broken. They will not rebuild the motor. Car is written off.
No, they do not. Unless the mechanical repair needed to be done has to do with the wreck. Insurance will not cover normal wear and tear on your engine or metal parts.
no they don't put just make a dent on your car and Say someone hit it and say your car is acting funny.
they than should pay for it, its a loop hole.
only if the parts are damaged in an accident.
no. it does not
